Kristina Elvidge

Kristina is Head of Research at the Childhood Dementia Initiative, an organisation established in 2020 to urgently disrupt the impact of childhood dementia. Kristina’s expertise lies in enabling medical research organisations to invest in the best science to develop effective therapies and engagement with all stakeholders including researchers and families affected by rare genetic diseases. Prior to joining the Childhood Dementia Initiative, she successfully established and managed the research funding program at Sanfilippo Children’s Foundation, and she has also worked with muscular dystrophy patient organisations both in Australia and the UK. She has a strong science background with a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Western Australia and she completed a post-doc and Oxford University.
