Marcello Lepre is a third-year PhD student at the University of Queensland. He received a master's degree in Neurobiology (with honors) from the University of Rome in 2020. Afterwards he moved in the laboratory of Prof. Flavio Donato, at the University of Basel, to undertake an 8-month research internship, working on memory formation and cognitive development. In 2022 he moved in Australia to join the laboratory of Dr. Carlie Cullen and undertake his current PhD project investigating the influence of developmental myelination on neural circuits formation and function.
