Associate Professor Rueyleng Loo has worked in both academic and national health services. Rueyleng is currently based at the Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC) within the Health Futures Research Institute at Murdoch University. She has over ten years of experience in applying metabolomics to epidemiological and intervention studies to uncover why some individuals are more susceptible to cardiovascular disease while others remain disease-free. To achieve this, she utilises various analytical platforms, such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and mass spectrometry, coupled with mathematical modeling to understand the patterns of metabolic fingerprints from different populations.
