Lachlan Brown
University of Tasmania, TAS, Australia
Dr Brown is an early career research fellow at the University of Tasmania investigating vascular function in the brain. He has a particular interest in contemporary microscopy techniques and pericytes, which are a cell type that sit at regular intervals along the vascular membrane and play several important functions in the brain including contractile control of capillaries, blood brain barrier maintenance, regulating angiogenesis, and neuroinflammation. His overarching research aim is to further understand the role of the vascular system in neurological function, and the effect of vascular changes on blood flow in health and disease.
