I am an experienced, internationally trained, and master’s-qualified medical research scientist, who has been working at the intersection of molecular biology and bioinformatics for the last five years. Despite being at a very early stage of my career, I have an outstanding track record. I was ranked first in my year in high school, undergraduate and master's studies. I was awarded “Dean’s Award” for my excellent results as an Honours student. Additionally, I have nearly two years of practical experience working as a Scientific Officer at the National Institute of Biotechnology (Bangladesh), coupled with substantial research experience gained as a master’s student and research assistant. I have published a total of 23 peer-reviewed publications. My expertise includes working across wet-lab and bioinformatics projects, and I have developed skills in designing experiments and analyzing large scale data relevant to my proposed PhD project. I aspire to be a dedicated researcher. My vision for my research career going forward is to utilize my PhD studies to become proficient in the emerging state-of-the-art omics technologies with strong emphasis on advanced computational methods, specifically spatially resolved single-cell omics approaches. I plan to use these approaches to elucidate the biology of complex disorders such as mental illness and provide the foundation for my independent research career in the field of bioinformatics.
