Anand is a researcher trained in (epi)genetics and molecular biology, currently focusing on three distinct areas related to i) islet cell biology, ii) cellular physiology and epigenetics, and iii) biomarkers of diabetes progression. He is based at the School of Medicine Western Sydney University and is a Danish Diabetes Academy visiting professor at the Roskilde University and the Steno Diabetes Research Center Copenhagen.
